She opens her palm to the poor man, and stretches out her hands to the m
an who is needy.

The words palm and hands are used again, to stress that part of what the
Eishes Chayil earns goes to helping the poor. She acts wisely. When giving to the
poor man who can still help himself, and who is embarrassed to ask for charity, she
lets him take from her [one] palm. This is done in a quiet way, so no one will see.
However, when someone is in greater need and is not ashamed to beg for charity, the
Eishes Chayil "stretches out her [two] hands" and gives openly. (Malbim) (Me'am
Lo'ez). She does all this, although she has worked extra hard and long to get what she
has!
