#15
She makes sheets and sells it, and gives a belt to the peddler.
She sells "sheets" (women’s clothes) by herself, but because of Tz’nius
(modesty), the Eishes Chayil gives over men’s clothing (like belts) to peddlers to sell
for her (Tiferes Ha-Shabbos).
After making what she needs for business and her family, she makes things to
sell for Tzedakah money (Malbim). Another meaning for this verse is that she takes
the left-over material and makes it into belts. Instead of selling it; the Eishes Chayil
gives it to a poor peddler, using this opportunity to do another Mitzvah (Hirsch).
