She watches over the ways of her family, and never eats the bread of l
aziness.

She watches that her family acts honestly and modestly (Rashi), and fears
Hashem. She is not lazy and does not spend too much time eating, but quickly gets
back to her work (Metzudas David).
Even when she is older and unable to work as she used to, the Eishes Chayil
does not become lazy. Instead, she shares her wisdom and guides her family, so they
will follow the ways of the Torah (Me’am Lo’ez). She knows that giving to her family
is the most important thing she can do.
