THE MIDNIGHT PRAYER

At midnight there is a custom for those who fear Hashem to get up and say the Tikun Chatzos. This prayer reminds us of the destruction of the Bais Hamikdash. If a person is not able to get up at that time, then he can say this prayer before going to sleep. The Tikun can even be said early in the morning, if he gets up before daybreak.
