STAY OUT OF QUARRELS

Often when people quarrel, small arguments lead to big arguments, and before long neighbors and friends are taking sides... and a lot of Loshon Hora is being spoken. People involved in quarrels often make fun of the other person in order to embarrass him and make him look bad. Doing this to anyone is wrong, but making fun of a Torah scholar is a terrible sin.
Considering all the harm that arguments cause - it is certainly worth the effort needed to stay away from them.
