Pharaoh's chariots and his host were thrown into the sea, and his chosen captains were drowned in the Red Sea.
This is the majesty of Hashem's strength. He lifted Pharoah's entire army, the heavy chariots, the footsoldiers, and their captians, then tossed them as easily as one shoots an arrow. (Evan Ezra) Hashem threw them into the mud; a punnishment " measure-for-measure" for having enslaved Israel with clay and bricks. (Rashi)
