Chapter One - Mishna 7

Nittai the Arbelite says:
Keep away from a bad neighbor
Nitai of Arbel says: "Keep away from a bad neighbor, and do not be friends with a bad person, and realize that a person will be punished if he deserves it.

The father and son in the picture have quickly packed up their things and are going far away from their bad neighbor. Just living close to such a neighbor can get them into trouble. How? Either they will learn bad habits from these neighbors and deserve to be punished, or the evil neighbor may hurt the people who live near him. It may also happen that when Hashem punishes the bad neighbor, they may also be hurt, as the Talmud says, "Woe for the wicked one and woe for his neighbor." Stay away.
